Job Description
We are looking for a talented Mechanical (Solidworks) Engineer to join our team at Konecranes Nuclear Equip and Services LLC in Matteson, IL. As part of our dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to design cranes, material handling equipment, and other devices using Solidworks within a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Design cranes and material handling equipment in a structured 3-D environment.
- Create mechanical drive systems and sizing calculations for motors, gearboxes, and more.
- Follow customer specifications and industry codes accurately.
- Annotate drawings with relevant symbols for clear communication.
- Collaborate with other disciplines for turn-key projects.
- Perform design changes for modernization projects.
- Provide technical support and develop technical specifications.
- Optimize crane components for cost reduction and improved delivery.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering.
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Solidworks or Pro-E.
- Knowledge of ASME, AISC, and CMAA standards.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Leadership qualities and self-motivation.
- Computer literate in Excel and Word.
