Job Description: Mechanic/Technician Apprentice (Meadowbrook)
We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Mechanic/Technician Apprentices at Utah Transit Authority. In this role, you will undergo technical instruction and classroom training, demonstrating competency in various modules related to preventive maintenance, electrical, brakes, air systems, and more. You will assist advanced-skill employees in complex repairs, perform manual tasks, and conduct preventative maintenance inspections. Successful completion of this program will lead to progression as a Journeyist with competitive pay rates.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Acquire a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement within 60 days
- Two-year degree in a related field, military MOS, technical school experience, or UTA experience
- Ability to pass aptitude and standardized tests
Shift and Pay Rate
Shift timings are 3:00 pm to 1:30 am with specific days off. The pay rate ranges from $25.33 to $29.33 per hour with additional shift differentials. Wage progression and benefits are included in this four-year apprenticeship program.
