Principal Product Owner - Talent Management and Learning

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Principal Product Owner to join our HR Technology team at Discover Financial Services. As a Principal Product Owner, you will collaborate with Talent Management and Learning business leaders to deliver product outcomes that meet stakeholder requests while managing change impacts within various business functions. This role requires a deep understanding of Talent Management, Performance Management, and Learning functions to deliver effective solutions. Responsibilities include prioritizing business requests, defining product features, creating product documentation, defining Minimum Viable Product (MVP), and ensuring product compliance and quality. Additionally, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to set implementation timelines and foster partnerships across product teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
• 6+ years of experience in Product, Business, Technical, or related fields

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Workday’s Talent Management and Performance Management products
• Experience with SumTotal product
• Project Management experience (PMP a plus)
• Proficiency in business requirements gathering, User Acceptance Testing facilitation, and Change Management
• Knowledge of Agile methodology

Compensation & Benefits
