Job Description
Steven Douglas Corp is seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Control Engineer to join our innovative team. As a key member of our dynamic environment, you will be responsible for designing and programming custom automated machines, pushing the boundaries of automation technology.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced software and machine control programs, including PLC programming, HMI design, robotic programming, and industrial machine vision systems.
- Evaluate hardware and software components to complete various tasks efficiently.
- Provide troubleshooting and solutions for machine programming challenges throughout project lifecycles.
- Manage projects to ensure timely and within budget machine deliveries.
- Collaborate with the Mechanical Engineering team on automation technologies like robotics, pneumatics, and vision systems.
- Support machine building processes, including assembly, testing, installation, and customer training.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering-related field.
- 5+ years of senior-level engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLCs, HMI design, servo control, electrical design, and industrial machine vision systems.
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, LabView, MatLab, or robotic programming is a plus.
- Strong decision-making and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and travel for project support when required.
Compensation
$90,000 - $115,000 per year
