The Lead Caregiver at Sunrise Senior Living acts as the lead to a group of Care Managers during the shift, ensuring quality care and services are provided to residents. The role involves supervisory support, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. The Lead Caregiver leads by example in all job responsibilities and may work variable hours including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervisory support to Care Managers.
- Support team members in providing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care to residents.
- Assist with meal service and ensure hospitality standards are maintained.
- Accurately document care and services provided to residents.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Participate in onboarding new team members.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and residents.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Virginia State Medication Technician License required.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team.
- Leadership competencies and decision-making skills.
- Experience working with seniors desirable.
