Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Property Field Claims Adjuster to join our team at American Family Insurance Claims Services. As a Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating and maintaining property claims, determining liability, reviewing coverages, and arranging appraisals.
Primary Accountabilities
- Investigate origin and cause of claims.
- Handle claims on a good faith basis.
- Handle both 1st party and 3rd party claims under multiple policy types.
- Conduct on-site inspections, evaluate damages, and negotiate claims.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide claim process status.
- Interpret and determine policies, leases, and coverages for assigned losses.
- Provide customer-driven solutions and support.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in claim handling and customer service.
- Solid knowledge of casualty coverages and claim handling processes.
Licenses
- Valid driver's license and property casualty claims licensing required.
Travel Requirements
- Up to 10% travel with potential catastrophe duty.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in various environments and handle objects up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions
- Work in varying temperatures, outdoor elements, and noisy environments.
- Handle hazardous conditions and work in enclosed spaces.
