Maintenance Technician (Part-Time)

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at Joyce University in a part-time capacity. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of repair tasks related to facilities and campus maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting, along with strong problem-solving skills. This role requires the ability to work independently or as part of a team and address maintenance issues efficiently.

This part-time position is based at our Draper, UT campus and offers an hourly wage of $22-25.

Responsibilities

• Handle repair, patching, painting, and finishing tasks to maintain campus aesthetics.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Inspect facilities regularly and address potential maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Assist with furniture assembly and installation.
• Perform basic cleaning, groundskeeping, and occasional snow removal.
• Utilize troubleshooting skills for plumbing and electrical tasks.
• Collaborate with team members and vendors on assigned projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to lift heavy objects.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Licensure in relevant trades is a plus.
