We are looking for a skilled Diesel or Automotive Mechanic to join our team at Freeport and Hempstead Schools. Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and repairs on school buses.
• Diagnose and repair various vehicle components including brakes, suspensions, and transmissions.
• Ensure accurate completion of work orders.
• Assist with emergency services as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required; CDL training provided.
• 1-5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance experience preferred.
• Mechanic's tool set required.
• Willingness to participate in ASE certification program.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical requirements.
