Expert Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for an Expert Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team at Discover Financial Services. As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a vital role in optimizing cybersecurity program processes and output. You will actively manage and escalate risks and customer-impacting issues, supporting governance and oversight of risk and controls for our enterprise-wide Cybersecurity Program. The successful candidate will create a culture of effective risk management, accountability, and risk awareness across our organization. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage Cybersecurity risk management efforts and enhance our program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver department, committee, and board-level reports and presentation materials.
• Ensure program compliance with audit, regulatory, and legal requirements.
• Define and promote the strategic direction of the Cybersecurity program.
• Support oversight and management of all Cybersecurity audit findings, self-identified findings, and emerging risks.
• Develop strategic partnerships with auditors and regulators to manage Cybersecurity risk efforts.
• Manage regulatory and audit findings, lead the review of evidence, and develop data analytics and reporting.
• Recommend and implement remediation strategies to mitigate risk.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Analytics, Business, or Project Management.
• 8+ years of experience in related fields; 10+ years without a degree.
• Technical proficiency rating of expert on the Dreyfus cybersecurity scale for internal applicants.

Preferred Qualifications

• CISM, CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, CISSP certifications.
