Job Description
AVTEC FINISHING is seeking an experienced Manufacturing/Production Maintenance Technician for a full-time position. This role requires a versatile individual with mechanical aptitude to handle various tasks in our manufacturing/production environment, including carpentry, electrical, welding, machine maintenance, plumbing, and HVAC. The primary responsibility is to ensure the shop's continuous operation by promptly addressing mechanical issues and minimizing downtime.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance tasks, including basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions.
- Refer complex tasks to experienced maintenance personnel when necessary.
- Available for on-call duties during nights and weekends.
Requirements
- Trade school training or equivalent of 2 years of experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues.
- Good mechanical aptitude and safety awareness.
- Capacity to read blueprints, diagrams, and assembly drawings.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Fluency in English and good interpersonal skills.
Compensation
- Wage Range: $26-$32+/hour depending on experience and training.
- Signing Bonus: $1,500.00 (not applicable to current employees).
- Work Schedule: 1st Shift, M-F, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm.
