Job Description
Discover Financial Services is looking for an Expert Enterprise Architect to join its dynamic team. As a Technical Architect at Discover, you will develop technology strategies and future state architectures that enable value streams and product teams to deliver industry-differentiating solutions. This role involves a combination of deep technical domain understanding and a broad view of organizational concerns, including business acumen, security, compliance, and product delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop technology strategies and future state architectures.
- Actively manage and escalate risk and customer-impacting issues.
- Serve as a technical thought leader across product area/family.
- Create architectural artifacts addressing a broad spectrum of concerns.
- Lead technical strategy for the enterprise.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of multiple technical areas.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Software Development, Software Engineering, or Technical Architecture.
- Technical proficiency rating of expert on the Dreyfus architecture scale for internal applicants.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Enterprise Architecture methods (e.g., TOGAF).
- Experience using Enterprise Architecture modeling tools (e.g., LeanIX, Ardoq).
- Experience in developing architecture strategies using Business Architecture practices.
- Experience in the financial industry and modern digital and cloud solutions.
- Experience leading large architecture program initiatives.
