Internal Medicine Pharmacist and PGY1 Associate Residency Program Director

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Internal Medicine Pharmacist to join Manatee Memorial Hospital as the PGY1 Associate Residency Program Director. In this role, you will provide clinical pharmacy services to the Graduate Medical Education Internal Medicine rounding teams and oversee the Pharmacy Postgraduate Year 1 (PGY1) program. The position involves coordinating with the hospital's Graduate Medical Education Residency Programs, planning and managing the residency program in accordance with ASHP criteria, and collaborating with pharmacy leadership and GME for education and preceptor development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the PGY1 residency program in accordance with ASHP criteria.
• Coordinate pharmacy services for medical residency programs.
• Provide education in pharmacotherapy and preceptor development.
• Supervise and train pharmacy residents to meet residency objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm) required, PharmD preferred.
• PGY1 training or 3 years of acute care experience.
• Current Pharmacist License in the State of Florida.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, Cerner, and Pyxis technologies.
