First Student, the leading school transportation provider in North America, is looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and maintenance of our school buses. Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and repairs on school buses.
• Diagnose and fix vehicle and equipment issues such as brakes, suspensions, and drivetrains.
• Complete work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide assistance with mobile emergency services when required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license; willing to obtain CDL during employment.
• Minimum 1 year of automotive or diesel maintenance experience.
• Own a mechanic's tool set.
• Willingness to participate in the ASE certification program.
• Subject to DOT drug testing as a safety-sensitive employee.
