Mechanic Job Description

Join our team at RICH TRANSPORT LLC as a Master Mechanic responsible for carrying out repair work and maintenance on tractors, trailers, and other motor vehicles. If you have a passion for vehicle maintenance and are skilled in diagnosing and fixing mechanical issues, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Consult with drivers to gather vehicle history and identify maintenance or repair needs.
• Visually and electronically diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic tools.
• Perform tests on parts and systems to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct routine maintenance, oil changes, and tune-ups.
• Repair or replace faulty parts and systems like brake pads, belts, and water pumps.
• Test and verify that repairs are successful and the vehicle is safe for operation.
• Complete any other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Expertise in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Proficiency in computer diagnostic equipment and software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Visual diagnosis skills for mechanical issues.
• Ability to interpret service manuals and work orders.
• Educational background: High school diploma or equivalent. Plus, two years of relevant experience.
• CDL is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Capable of bending, stretching, kneeling, and squatting.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in noisy environments.
• Must have sufficient vision for inspection work.
