Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner - APRN (Mid-Level) to join our team at Cibola General Hospital. As a mid-level provider, you will be responsible for providing accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, consultation, education, and follow-up care to patients of all ages. You will work under the direction of the Supervisory Physician and perform various medical duties, including examinations, treatment administration, and health promotion activities.

Primary Functions

  • Examine patients, record medical history, and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Order or conduct necessary tests and procedures.
  • Administer treatments, medications, and vaccinations as required.
  • Provide health education to patients on preventive care and wellness practices.
  • Refer patients to specialists when needed for further evaluation.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures as necessary.
  • Adhere to proper charting protocols and reporting requirements.

Education and Experience

  • Must hold a current State of New Mexico license and National Board Certification.
  • DEA certification must be current and maintained.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and creativity in patient care.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues to deliver quality healthcare services.

Additional Qualifications

  • Prior experience with electronic medical records systems preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Relationship Reporting

Reports directly to the Clinic Administrator/Chief of Staff.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues.
  • Proficient in using computers, printers, and scanners.
  • Capable of sitting, standing, and using a computer for extended periods.
  • Skilled in performing repetitive hand and wrist motions as needed.
  • Adept at using hands and fingers for patient care activities.
  • Ability to reach and move arms as part of medical procedures.
