Job Description
We are looking for a full-time Radiology Technologist to join Corewell Health in an evening shift position. As a Radiology Technologist, you will perform accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in various areas of general radiology, ensuring patient safety and providing exceptional care. Working in a collaborative environment, you will be responsible for acquiring patient history, monitoring patients during procedures, and using diagnostic imaging equipment proficiently. In addition, you will contribute to the effective operations of the department by assisting colleagues and ensuring compliance with quality control standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality diagnostic exams following patient identification and physician order verification.
- Acquire accurate patient history and document in the medical record.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment proficiently and follow policies for malfunctions.
- Provide procedural information/education to patients and families prior to each exam.
- Maintain competency in all assigned areas including fluoroscopic, general diagnostic, orthopedic procedures, and more.
Qualifications
- Graduate of JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
- CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT required upon hire.
- CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT required within 180 days.
- CRT-BLS (BLS) - AHA required upon hire.
