Job Description
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Full-time Radiology Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing accurate diagnostic exams and delivering exceptional care to our patients.
General Summary
Under supervision, you will perform diagnostic exams in various areas of general radiology, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety. You will follow radiation protection principles, provide clinical instruction as needed, and uphold our Patient and Family Centered Care philosophy.
Essential Duties
- Perform quality diagnostic exams after verifying patient identification and physician orders.
- Acquire accurate patient history and document in medical records.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety.
- Use age-appropriate methods for patient care procedures.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment proficiently and follow protocols.
- Provide patient/family education prior to each exam.
- Contribute to department effectiveness by assisting colleagues.
- Utilize hospital computer systems for order verification and information transfer.
- Train students/new hires and maintain competency in various procedures.
Qualifications
- Graduate of JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
- CRT-Radiographer (R) and other certifications as required.
- Basic Life Support certification.
