Special Procedure Tech

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Special Procedure Tech to join our team at Corewell Health. As a Special Procedure Tech, you will be responsible for providing direct care to patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures, assisting physicians, and ensuring high-quality patient-centered care throughout the pre, intra, and post-procedure stages. This role may involve performing IV starts, preparing patients, monitoring hemodynamics, operating equipment, documenting procedures, managing vascular access sites, and educating patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to patients undergoing routine invasive procedures.
• Assist physicians and ensure quality patient/family centered care throughout procedures.
• Perform IV starts, monitor hemodynamics, operate equipment, and document procedures.
• Maintain radiation safety standards and department skills validations.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited radiography program for Interventional Radiology, or equivalent training for Cath Lab/EP Lab.
• 1 year of experience in EP, Cath Lab or IR.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, RT-CV/VI or RCES/RCIS as required.
• Strong communication, customer service, and computer skills.
