Special Procedure Tech

Job Description

Corewell Health is seeking a Special Procedure Tech to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Special Procedure Tech, you will provide direct care for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures, assisting physicians and delivering quality patient-centered care throughout pre, intra, and post-procedure stages. The role involves tasks such as IV starts, patient preparation, hemodynamic monitoring, equipment operation, documentation, vascular access management, and patient/family education.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients during invasive procedures, providing technical support and quality care.
• Perform hemodynamic/physiologic waveform recording and calculations as necessary.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, physicians, and patients.
• Maintain equipment quality and radiation safety standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited radiography program for Interventional Radiology; Cardiovascular Technologist program, associate degree, or equivalent for Cath Lab/EP Lab.
• Minimum 1 year of EP, Cath Lab, or IR experience required.
• Certifications include BLS, ACLS, RT-CV/VI for IR; BLS, ACLS, RCES/RCIS/RT for Cath Lab; BLS, ACLS, RCIS/RCES for EP Lab.
