General Summary:
Under general supervision, the Special Procedure Tech provides direct care pre, intra, and post for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures to assist physicians and delivers quality patient/family centered care. Responsibilities include IV starts, patient prep, hemodynamics monitoring, equipment operation, documentation, vascular access site management, and patient/family education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients during procedures.
- Provide technical support and quality care.
- Perform hemodynamic/physiologic recordings.
- Communicate effectively with team and patients.
- Ensure quality assurance checks on equipment.
- Maintain radiation safety standards.
- Participate in special procedures as required.
Requirements:
- Educational background in Radiography or Cardiovascular Technology.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in EP, Cath Lab, or IR.
- Relevant certifications like BLS, ACLS, RT, RCES/RCIS.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
